In 1990, Mike Bethune, an experienced, talented artist and sign maker himself,
who after working for other sign companies, decided to open his own sign
business, Bethune Signs, Inc. (f/k/a Bethune Signs & Woodcarving, Inc.) and has
been designing, manufacturing, and installing superior quality and specially
designed sandblasted and hand carved signage.
The owner/sole proprietor, Mike Bethune, has extensive knowledge, training and
experience in the signage field. Mike began working in the field of sandblasting
of tombstones/monuments by helping his father in the family business at the
young age of 15. His love for art and carving eventually persuaded him to begin
working in the sign industry where he could use his artistic talents in his
every day work! Mike has been doing this type of work for 30+ years throughout
the Tampa Bay area. Mike is talented and creative in all mediums of art and puts
his talents to work in the designing, creating and manufacturing of his
sandblasted and hand carved signs.
Our sign business is proud to be recognized in one of the sign industries top
selling magazines, “Signs of the Times” in the March 2009 Issue, their article
titled “The Shop Next Door”. They have written a story about Bethune Signs and
also displays several of our signs.
Our signage has also been recognized on websites of companies
such as "Coastal Enterprises" by demonstrating their materials - the HDU product
